CERTIFICATE COURSE IN CHINESE LANGUAGE

Course Name:

Certificate Course in Chinese Language (Intermediate level)

Introduction:

This certificate course mainly focuses on developing Chinese Language skills and culture. By this certificate course, students will be able to increase their Chinese language proficiency and face the HSK level 3 exam.

Aims and Objectives:

This certificate program aims to develop the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing as well as cultural awareness (Including HSK level 3).

Learning Outcomes:

• Cultivate a desire for and interest in learning the Chinese language.
• Strengthen pronunciation; excel in the pinyin system.
• Understand stroke order, basic radicals in writing characters, and the usage of 1200 characters.
• Understand and use the grammatical structures of the Chinese language.
• Make comparisons between the target language and their native tongue.
• Face the HSK level 3 exam.

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN CHINESE LANGUAGE

Duration:

06 months

• Two days per week (Saturday & Sunday, four hours per week).
• 88 lecture hours.
• One week for study leave (6th month, 3rd week).
• One week for examination (6th month, 4th week).

Course Content:

• Chinese grammar and vocabulary (including HSK level 3).
• Language structure of oral and listening.
• Guided writing.
• Culture and society.
• HSK level 3.

Evaluation:

• Attendance: 10%
• Class test: 10%
• Group Activities: 10%
• Written exam: 70%
